This year Rooted in Place won two awards from the San Diego American Society of Landscape Architects. 2016_0616_ASLA Newsletter_Hilltop

The first of the Juror’s award, highlighted in this excerpt from the San Diego, ASLA newsletter was for the work completed with the community of Hilltop CDA. The Habitat gARTen was a success on so many levels, and the strongest being the passion and continued stewardship of the client and surrounding community members. Susan Holley, Early Childhood Program Coordinator of Child Development Associates is an inspiration to us, as we have been able to work alongside her to bring dreams of a vibrant child development center to fruition.

Thank you to San Diego ASLA for the recognition and continued support as we have been embarking on this journey to engage communities on creating healthy outdoor spaces.
