Hello and welcome to THE HOOT!
Welcome to THE HOOT!, the blog and idea share for Rooted In Place Landscape Architecture and Consulting. We work on so many wonderful projects that we feel a forum for us to share our thoughts, ideas, and useful information would be helpful to many of you working on or interested in creating healthy outdoor environments.
Several times a day we find ourselves in conversations about projects, big ideas, small ideas, random thoughts. Thanks to THE HOOT! we can now share our wise words and whimsy with all of you!
Rooted In Place is founded on the premise of improving quality of life by creating vibrant neighborhood spaces and healthy outdoor environments for people of all ages to play, learn, and develop a relationship with the world around them. From asphalt-dominated schoolyards to blighted vacant lots, our communities are full of opportunities to create meaningful places rooted in history, culture and ecology.
In this blog we will share our stories, ideas, lessons learned, etc. from our work. We will also share with you news and relevant information relating to engagement, educational environments, and community based projects. I expect that other ideas and topics will come up along the way and hope you will find them both relevant and enjoyable.
For those of you who know us, you know how open and transparent we are with regards to policy, issues, and the state of our communities. We invite you to respond, add comments and suggestions and share your stories. Please keep comments pertinent and positive. We will quickly remove any comments that are offensive, profane, disrespectful or irrelevant. We’re here to share and have fun!
We encourage you to visit our website: www.rootedinplace.com and learn about us, what we do and who we are. Please like our Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/rootedinplaceLA/ and feel free to contact us for more information!
